Ganesh Chaturthi Date The fourth day of the Hindu month of
Bhadrapada, the waxing lunar period (Shukla Chaturthi). It is August or
September every year. The festival is celebrated for 10 days according to the
Hindu lunar calendar, the last day being the biggest scene known as Anant
Chaturdashi.
Ganesh Chaturthi in 2020 is on 22nd August. Anant
Chaturdashi is on September 1 (see calendar).
Ganesh Chaturthi on September 10, 2021 and Anant Chaturdashi
on September 19.
Ganesh Chaturthi in 2022 is on 31st August. Anant
Chaturdashi on September 9th.

The idols of Lord Ganesha are worshiped every evening. The
biggest Ganesh idols displayed in public are usually submerged on Anant
Chaturdashi. However, most people who put a statue in their homes do a lot of
immersion in front of it.

1.Ganesh chaturthi
special ~ Besan ke laddoo /Ground
chickpea or bengal gram flour laddoo / Bashoner laddoo 500g ground chickpea
flour/ besan Powdered sugar
Procedure-
For this take 400g
sugar and make fine powder on blender) 150g ghee 100g white oil 1 tbsp chopped
almond (fried with ¼ tsp ghee) Now first add white oil & ghee in a pan
Flame on high. If ghee is melted, flame to simmer again. Add ground chickpea
flour / besan Keep stirring continuously on less medium flame until a raw smell
of gram flour is stopped, and a nice golden colour is formed. Keep in mind that
the gram flour should not stick to the bottom of the pan. Off the flame Add
fried chopped almond Add powdered sugar. Mix it well very gently with wooden
ladle For making laddoos, take little amount of hot mixture in your hands and
bind in round shape. Meanwhile to avoid heat, wet your palm into plain water
and wipe with a kitchen towel. Then continue this procedure. Garnish with
almond.

2..Ganesh chaturthi special - Modak
Ingredients:
.1 cup rice flour,
.1 cup water
.1 cup coconut (in pieces)
.1/2 cup jaggery
.Crushed dry fruits
.Poppy seeds
.Cardamom powder
.1/4 salt
.1/4 sugar
.Ghee
Procedure-
Now Heat the pan and put jaggery in a pan to
melt. Add some ghee in a pan. Add all the dry fruits too. Stir and mix
everything in a pan on medium flame. Keep mixing with spatula. Till the
moisture is gone, we will keep stirring. Switch off the gas now. Switch on the
gas again for new pan. Add water, salt, sugar and ghee and let it boil. When
the water is boiled, then add rice flour and switch off the gas and mix it
properly. After 5 minutes, transfer it in bowl. Now we will make a dough when
it is bit warm. Add some ghee in a dough also Make a good dough out of it I am
using ghee (you can use lukewarm water) to make a dough.
Now the dough is
ready. For greasing, apply some ghee . And fill the rice flour in order it is sufficient. Fill some dry fruits and poppy seeds also in
there. After a couple of mins, it will take Modak's shape We will make more of
them. Now we will keep it to rest for 5 minutes. All the modak are ready and
now we will steam it. Steam it in a steamer. We will steam it for 15 minutes.
After 15 minutes, it is ready to serve.
